July 2016 - and some more:
The crossing keeper's cottage in place, more fencing is needed and the garden area needs sorting.

In this picture you can see the changes that I made to the hill for the crossing keeper's cottage and the garden at the back of it.
The original cottage is back by the pond, as with the lock keeper's cottage it overhangs. Unfortunately through circumstances beyond my control the canal and lock extension to the front of the layout is indefinitely on hold.

Although it is hard to see all the line side fencing is now in place.

As you can see the thatched cottage is more suitable for the lock keeper.
The Pond is now looking much better.
The original cottage back in place, I may change it later if I find something that I think is more suitable.

There are still odds and ends to do, and hopefully the extension for the the canal and lock won't be delayed for too long.
