Travis, Skipton & LGB
TRAVIS as you can see is a barge, so what is it doing in the model railway section.
To quote Andy “We're down in Skipton for the festival weekend again this year. I have an LGB garden railway that I set up on Travis's cabin roof when at rallies”

Travis is a replica Dutch Barge built to order by Pickwell and Arnold in 2004, it is 58’ x 12’ and weighs about 40 tons. It has a 90hp Ford diesel engine, 5500lt water tanks and holds 2250lt fuel tanks and Kabola central heating.

Andy has for many years wanted to live on a canal boat, but Wendy his ‘better half’ made a stipulation that only if it was a wide beam she would agree, and so four years ago they moved onto Travis.

To quote Andy again “It’s a good solid boat and we love living on it”.

So who said that you can't have a G scale layout on a boat?
